More than 100 children from the region of Kardzhali were circumcised at a traditional mass sunnet in Kardzhali

On August 8, 2018, solemn mass circumcision ceremony was held in the central mosque of Kardzhali. It was organized by the Regional Mufti's Office - Kardzhali and was implemented with the kind support given by Osmangazi Municipality, the city of Bursa, Turkey.

More than 100 children were circumcised by the longtime specialist in the field - Dr. Lutvi Mehmed. The event began with reading of Holy Qur’an by the Imam of the mosque in Kаrdzhali - Erdinch Hajrulla. Welcome speech was given by the host of the event - the regional mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed, who thanked the main sponsor of the event - the Mayor of Osmanagi Municipality in the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Dundar. Within the program the regional mufti and Dr. Lutfi Mehmed informed the parents of the children about the process of the circumcision (sunnet) itself.

Official guests at the event were the regional mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi and the director of the Religious High School in Momchilgrad Ahmed Bozov, as well as the deputy director of the school Nurettin Chakar. There were also representatives of Osmangazi Municipality from the Republic of Turkey.

Before the beginning of the circumcision itself, the guest-imam of the Kardzhali mosque Metin Uluodzhak made a du’a for health, peace and success within the sunnet.
