Candidates for the pilgrimage of hajj from the group of King’s guests got together in Sofia
For the second year in a row, ten Muslims from Bulgaria are included in the group of pilgrims - guests of the King of Saudi Arabia. With regard to this, a meeting with them was held in the capital of Sofia onAugust 9, 2018. Not only the candidates for the pilgrimage of hajj attended, but also the grand mufti of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzi, the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC) Vedat Ahmed, the regional mufti of SofiaMustafa Izbishtali, as well as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Sofia Mesfer al-Gassib.
It is a practice of many years for the King of Saudi Arabia to invite people from different countries every year to perform hajj at his expense.
At the meeting in Sofia, the Grand Mufti Dr. Hadzhi thanked the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabiafor the assistance he gaveso that people from Bulgaria to be among the guests of the King for performing the pilgrimage of hajj this year again. He wished the quota for our country to get increased in the future and more brothers and sisters to benefit and and fulfill the fifth foundation of Islam - hajj. Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi wished a calm, secure and accepted hail to all who set off for the Holy Lands of Mecca and Medina.
