Regular monthly meeting with imams from Sliven region

Regional Mufti’s Office – Sliven held a regular monthly meeting with the imams form the region on May 14, 2018, which usually is held in the region once every two months.

The meeting in May was opened with reading of the Qur’an-i Kerim by the imam of the village of Yablanovo. The host and a Regional Mufti of Sliven Akif Akifov informed the participants in the meeting about the agenda. During the discussion it was focused on the tasks which the Muslim clerics from the region of Sliven have during the upcoming month of Ramadan. After the discussion of this issue the imams proceeded to another important topic, and namely – the participation in the Campaign in Support of the Islamic Education, which is traditionally held during the Holy for the Muslims Month of Ramadan.

Within the meeting the imams also addressed the topic about the problems and the responsibilities related to their work in the Muslim Denomination. After completing the agenda the meeting was closed with a dua (supplication) and best wishes for successful and beneficial work during the Month of Ramadan, both in personal and in professional plan.
