Newly constructed mosque was officially opened in the village of Draskotna

The Prophet (pbuh) said:

“When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (construction of a mosque, road, hospital); knowledge which is beneficial; or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (the deceased).

The newly constructed Muslim temple in the village of Daskotna (Municipality of Ruen), Burgas region, was officially opened. The mosque was constructed entirely with donations from Hatice Lale, and respectively is also named after the benefactor. The official opening ceremony of the temple took place on April 29, 2018 (Sunday) in the village.

The special celebration, organized by the local Muslim Board of Trustees, was attended by hundreds of guests from the country and abroad. Among them were the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi and the deputy muftis Ahmed Hasanov and Murat Pingov.

Especially for the occasion also arrived a delegation of muftis and other official guest from the Republic of Turkey, including the Provincial Mufti of Istanbul Prof. Dr. Hasan Kamil Yılmaz, the Provincial Mufti of Edirne Emrullah Üzüm and the Provincial Mufti of Kırklareli (Lozengrad) Hüseyin Demirtaş.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria, among whom were Dr. Ulvi Ata – Social affairs attaché in Sofia, Metin Akbaş – Social affairs attaché at the Consulate of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv, as well as the Consul General of Turkey in Burgas Nuray İnöntepe.

 

 

The celebration of the Muslims from the village of Daskotna and the other settlements in the region was also attended by a number of regional muftis – those of Aytos, Shumen, Razgrad, Silistra, Sliven, Plovdiv and Haskovo. There also participated representatives of the local municipal administration headed by Mayor of the Municipality of Ruen Ismail Osman, as well as a number of MPs.

The festive program included reading of Qur’an-i Kerim, addresses on behalf of the Regional Mufti of Aytos Selyatin Muharem and the other guests, as well as the official address on behalf of Hatice Lale – the main donor and sponsor for the construction of the “Hatice Lale” mosque in Daskotna. The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi gave a plaque of gratitude to Hatice Lale as an expression of appreciation to her for the good deed.

 

 

         For all guests, who came from near and distant places, the hosts had provided a treat with 30 qurbans.
