Regional Mufti of Plovdiv welcomed an official delegation from the Republic of Turkey
An official delegation from the Republic of Turkey visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv on April 28, this year (Saturday). Among the official guests from the neighboring country were the Provincial Mufti of Istanbul Prof. Dr. Hasan Kamil Yılmaz and his deputies, muftis of the big districts in Istanbul, as well as the Provincial Mufti of Edirne Emrullah Üzüm and the Provincial Mufti of Kırklareli (Lozengrad) Hüseyin Demirtaş. They all were accompanied by the Deputy Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Ahmed Hasanov and by Dr. Ismail Dzhambazov.
The guests were welcomed by the host, the Regional Mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli in the new administrative premises of the mufti’s office of Plovdiv. After some conversations between the two parties the Turkish delegation had the opportunity to make a tourist tour in the Old Town of Plovdiv. In the city under the hills the guests also visited the two mosques in the city center – “Murat Hyudavendigyar” (the “Dzhumaya mosque”) and the smaller mosque known as “Şahabettin İmaret Mosque”.
The delegation from the Republic of Turkey visited Bulgaria on the occasion of the official opening of the newly constructed Muslim temple in the village of Daskotina (Municipality of Ruen), Burgas region, which took place in April 29, this year.
