Student from РС – Momchilgrad was ranked at third place in the Balkan Competition for Memorizers of the Qur’an in Kosovo

 

Students from the religious schools in Momchilgrad and Shumen took part in the Balkan Competition for Memorization of the Holy Qur’an for high school students. It took place on April 21 this year (Saturday) in the capital of Kosovo – Pristina.

The competition in memorization of the Qur’an in Kosovo was for a first time organized at international level. It takes place under the auspices of the Islamic Community of the Republic of Kosovo and with the support of Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The three students from the Bulgarian religious schools – Dzhemal Sali and Muhammed Durlu from RS – Momchilgrad, and Myumyun Ahmed from RS – Shumen took part in the category for memorization of juz’ “Amma” of the Holy Qur’an. They competed along with participants form Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey and Croatia.

Muhammed Durlu from the religious school in Momchlgrad was ranked at third place in his category for memorization of the Qur’an in which competed 11 boys. The first place was for Enes Latifi from Pristina, and the second – for Besar Latifovich from Novi Pazar.

The young Muslims were assessed by a professional commission in which participated hafizes from different Balkan countries, including Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

        

 

 

In Skopje

Within their travelling from Bulgaria to Kosovo and during their participation in the competition at international level the participants were accompanied by the teacher in Qur’an, Hitabet (rhetoric) and Sirah in the school of Momchilgrad Sami Fazliyski.

 

 

We would like to congratulate on behalf of Grand Mufti’s Office Muhammed Durlu from RS - Momchilgrad for the achieved success, as well as the other two students – Dzhemal Sali and Myumyun Ahmed for their diligence and the worthy presentation at the competition in Kosovo. We wish the all three young boys many other successes along the way which they have chosen - to be “guardians” of the Qur’an for a lifetime.
