The participants in the competition “Faith - A Dream for a Better World” were awarded
On April 23 from 18:00 o’clock at the “Sredets” Gallery of the Ministry of culture took place the opening of the exhibition with paintings of the children, who participated in the competition “Faith - A Dream for a Better World”. After that the ranked participants in the competition, which was organized by the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria (NCRCB) for second consecutive year, were awarded.
In first age group (6-10 years) awards and certificates received Bogdana Georgieva Katarska – first place; Eman Dimova – second place, Emine Zhizhovska – third place. With incentive awards in this age group are: Halime Mehmed, Ozi Silvanova, Bozhidar Sharliyski and Vaselina Severinova.
In the second age group (11-14 years) Hela Papazyan received an award for first place, Sofia Olegova – for second place, Ana Tomova - third place.
And in the third age group (15-18 years) winners are the student from eleventh grade in RS “Nyuvvab” – Shumen Berna Stefanova – first place, and Dina Antonova – second place.

Among the official guests of the program were the Deputy Minister of culture Rumen Dimitrov and the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed.
Regarding the competition and the topic the NCRCB President Rupen Krikorian said: “The topic “Faith - A Dream for a Better World” is very important because it teaches the children virtues such as happiness, humanism, which is very necessary. We are proud of what we have done, because the purity of the child’s soul of reflects most of all these things.”
According to Assoc. Prof. Verdzhinia Markarova, who is a lecturer at the National Academy of Art and a member of the jury that assessed the works in the competition: “The painting of a child is beautiful for being sincere, pure, colorful and free.”
Those who want to touch to this pure, sincere and free children world can visit the exhibition till May 4, this year, where at one place in the gallery are exposed works of children of the six main religious communities in Bulgaria, along with their faith and a dream of a better world, which they depicted in their paintings.
