Grand Mufti participated in the "World Muslim Minorities" summit

 

The big "World Muslim Minorities" summit was opened on April 16 (Monday) 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey. It is organized by the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs – “Diyanet” and will continue till April 19.

Nearly 250 people from about 100 countries around the world participate in it.  Among them are not only representatives of Muslim minorities, but also representatives of different Turkish organizations, leading Turkish statesmen, human right defenders, journalists, etc. as a representative of the Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria in the forum participated the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.

The Summit meeting was opened in the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul. At the opening ceremony the Turkish President Receb Tayyip Erdogan delivered his address in which he condemned all kinds of violence spread across world, and gave examples with Myanmar and Syria.  Erdogan did not miss to mention that terror has no religion and nationality.

The program of the international event is focused on the discussion of different issues related to the life of the Muslim minority communities around the world. Among them are those for their fundamental rights and freedoms, the ways to solve the problems of different nature. There is also included and overview of the Muslim minorities in the past and the future perspectives for these communities.

During the event Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi held a meeting with the President of the “Diyanet” of the Republic of Turkey Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş.

For the last day of the world summit in Istanbul is foreseen for a tourist tour round the city for the participants.
