Grand Mufti participated in an official dinner in the occasion of Pesach
On April 5 at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held an official festive dinner on the occasion of the Jewish holiday of the Liberation - Pesach.
The dinner was attended by the leaders of the Jewish communities from Greece, the Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Bulgaria, as well as ambassadors of the member-states of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Among the official guests of the festive dinner was also the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.
In her address to the guests the Minister of Foreign Affair Ekaterina Zaharieva said: “75 years ago the Bulgarian people defended their Jews. This act marks one of the brightest pages in our history. We are firmly committed to open debates and detailed investigations in the history of the Holocaust and for zero tolerance to any manifestations of antisemitism and hatred speech.”
