Muslims in Asenovgrad celebrated the night of Ragaib 

      The Muslims from Asenovgrad and the surrounding settlements overcrowded the mosque in the town in order to join the celebration of the night of Ragaib, organized by Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv.

The festive program took place on March 22 this year (Thursday) between the evening and the night prayer.

Among the official guests of the event were the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, the Regional Mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli, the Social Affairs Attaché at the General Consulate of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv Metin Akbaş, the Director of the training school for imams in the village of Ustina Selim Mehmed, imams from the region and others.

The program in the night of Ragaib included welcoming addresses and a preach on behalf of the Regional Mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli and the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, who focused on the importance of the night of Ragaib for the Muslims. The celebration also included reading of Qur’an-i Kerim and mawlid, and ended with a dua (supplication) made by the imam of the “Hyudavendigyar” mosque (Dzhumaya mosque) in Plovdiv.
