Representatives of the Turkish Red Crescent visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv

Representatives of the Turkish organization Red Crescent visited the Regional Mufti’s Office in Plovdiv within their visit to Bulgaria. The guests from Turkey Cengiz Yurdabekçi, who is a Board Member of the organization, and Cengiz Koç – reporter of the Inspection Committee, visited the city under the hills on March 13, 2018 (Tuesday).

They were welcomed by the host – the Regional mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli, and by representatives of the team of the mufti’s office in Plovdiv. Veli informed the guests about the activities of the mufti’s office, about current activities and future projects. The representatives of the Red Crescent had the opportunity to see the central mosque in Plovdiv “Dzhumaya”, and also visited the Old Town and other sights in Plovdiv.

The staff of the Turkish Red Crescent is in Bulgaria on the occasion of the establishment of a joint warehouse of the Bulgarian Red Cross and the Turkish Red Crescent, which is in the village of Dolni Lozen, Sofia region, and will be used for the Balkan countries in cases of calamities and disasters.
