Nazif Rasimov is the newly appointed Regional Mufti of Targovishte

On March 15, 2018 (Thursday) took place the official appointment of the new Regional Mufti of Targovishte. For ad interim regional mufti was elected Nazif Nazifov Rasimov. This happened within a working meeting which was held in “Saat mosque” in the town of Targovishte.

The taking up duty ceremony of the new Regional Mufti Rasimov was attended by the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi and the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, as well as by representatives of the management of Regional Mufti’s Office – Targovishte.

“We have to work a lot and hard. Currently the Muslim Denomination passes through a very difficult and complicated period in which it is necessary all together with the imams to make more efforts if we want achieve better results” – said the Grand Mufti Dr. Hadzhi in his address.

Nazif Nazifov Rasimov got his Islamic religious education in Ankara, Turkey. Currently he studies “Turkish philology” in the University of Shumen “Konstantin Preslavski”. From 2010 till two years ago he was a vaiz (preacher) at Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen. Since 2016 to the moment of taking up duty as a Regional Mufti of Targovishte Rasimov was working as a vaiz at Regional Mufti’s Office – Targovishte.
