The Regional Mufti of Montana held a meeting with the imams and the Regional Muslim Council
The Regional Mufti of Montana Nedzhati Ali held a meeting with the imams and the Regional Muslim Council on February 21 (Wednesday), 2018. It took place from 10:00 o’clock in the mosque “Osman Pazvantoglu” in the town of Vidin.
The working meeting was attended by all imams from the region. It was opened with recitation of Qur’an-i Kerim, after which the host Nedzhati Ali informed the participants about the agenda.
Within the meeting the Mufti delivered a report on the work of the mufti’s office in Montana for the past year – 2017. In their turn all imams also presented reports on their work and activities during the last year. The participants in the working meeting addressed the issue about the subscription campaign for “Muslims” magazine for the present year, 2018, as well as about the reporting from the imams and chairmen of Muslim boards of trustees for the carried out weekly religious talks in the mosques and the masajed on the territory of Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana.
The agenda of the February meeting of the imams included also the issues about the campaign for raising imam-hakki (annual contribution of each family member). There was also discussed the introduction of a register of the residents in the settlements by the imams and by the representatives of the Muslim boards of trustees.
The meeting with the Regional Muslim Council addressed issues related to the importance and the functions of the structure, as well as to the foreseen for 2018 activities.
