An exhibition in the religious school in Momchilgrad brought together guests from all over the country
Saturday, February 17, 2018 was a festive day for the students and the entire team of the Religious School – Momchilgrad. The students’ exhibition “My home place – traditions and values” was opened at 13:00 o’clock in the conference hall.
The event brought together at one place students, teachers and lecturers from the religious school in Momchilgrad, representatives of the local authorities, resident from the town and guests from nearby and distant settlements of the country.
Among the official guests for the opening of the exhibition were the Deputy Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Birali Myumyun, as well as Hyusein Karamolla – Head of the Department of Education at Grand Mufti’s Office. There also were students from the High Islamic Institute – Sofia.
The exhibition was opened by Mustafa Inuzov – student from 11th grade in Religious School – Momchilgrad. He is also a main organizer of the event, focused on the traditional, the life and the culture of several Muslim villages in the Western Rhodopes.
The students from 10th and 11th grades Fatme Mihrina, Manka Kichikova, Asya Kefchelyuva, Dzhemile Hadzhiasanova and Esma Baki were the reason to make the exhibition “alive” in the eyes of the visitors. They presented the traditional costumes of the villages of Ribnovo, Draginovo and Lazhnitsa, and at the same time they were telling about the life and the customs in these their home places.
The exhibition also included wood-carved and sculpture works, handmade by the students from the secondary school in the school’s Workshop for Applied Art.
At the end of the exhibition’s opening ceremony the floor was given to the official guests Birali Myumyun and Hyusein Karamolla, who congratulated the students for their entire work for the preparation and the organization of the exhibition “My home place – traditions and values”, as well as they focused on that the diligence and the efforts made by the young organizers are appreciable and taking into consideration their tender age – the results are wonderful.
At the end of the opening all guests had the opportunity to drink Turkish tea and to taste the traditional meals from the presented in the exhibition settlements.
