Imams from the region of Ruse met for a regular meeting in the “Hadzhi Mehmed” mosque
The first working meeting for 2018 of the imams working at Regional Mufti’s Office – Ruse was held on February 15 (Thursday). It took place in the “Hadzhi Mehmed” mosque in Ruse and official guest at the meeting was Hyusnyu Chitak – Director of Religious School – Ruse.
The meeting was opened by the imam of Ruse Vahdi Muhidin, who recited a part of the Holy Qur’an. After that the imams proceeded to the discussion of the topics on the agenda. It included a number of current issues among which a report on the activity of the Regional Mufti’s Office for the past year 2017, analysis of the held social campaign “Orphans’ Week”. The activity of the imams and their commitment to the initiative was rewarded with plaques of gratitude given on behalf of the Regional Mufti of Ruse Yudzhel Hyusnyu.
In his turn every imam shared about his work during 2017 and presented his implemented projects. All of the participants in the meeting had the opportunity to share their ideas for more effective work during the present year 2018.
Within the meeting were discussed current issues related to the organization and recruitment of candidates for the upcoming pilgrimage to the Holy Places – Umrah 2018, as well as recruitment of candidate-students for Religious School – Ruse.
There was also addressed the issue about the announcement of 2018 as a “Year of the young family” by the Supreme Muslim Council, and there were proposed ideas for the promotion of the initiative as well as supporting as a whole the activities of the Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria.
The meeting ended with a dua (supplication) made by the imam of Ruse Nedret Fikret
