Exhibition “My home place – traditions and values” will be opened by students from Religious School – Momchilgrad
Very encouraging and positive is the feeling when you find young and awaken people. They speak with a special blaze in their eyes; they have meaningful ideas, which they implement without difficulty; they have dreams for which they everyday work…
But ten times stronger is the same that feeling when you realize that there are such active young people among the representatives of the Muslim community in Bulgaria, even among the students from the religious schools in our country.
With such a group of students from the Religious school in Momchilgrad we met during their students’ project for an exhibition dedicated to the life of the Muslims from different ethnicities in the Eastern and Western Rhodopes in Bulgaria.
The exhibition on “My home place – traditions and values” will be opened on February 17, 2018 (Saturday) from 13:00 o’clock in the conference hall of Religious School – Momchilgrad.
The main organizer of the cultural event and the “engine” of the entire process related to it is the student from 11th grade in the religious school in Momchilgrad Mustafa Inuzov from the village of Ribnovo. For Grandmufti.bg he shared that the idea for an exhibition was born during the Geography classes. Initially they thought everyone to present to the other classmates his home place, but subsequentlywith the entire support of the teachers’ team and the management of the school, they further developed their plan and it became quite greater.

“We are going to present at the exhibition the traditional costumes and other specific things from the life and the culture of several Muslim villages in the region of Gotse Delchev – Ribnovo, Draginovo and Lazhnitsa, as well as of several settlements in the region of Kardzhali. We have prepared photo and video materials and within few minutes the students will present each of their settlements” - enthusiastically told the main organizer Mustafa Inuzov.
As hosts the students invited for the Saturday exhibition a number of official guests from the Muslim Denomination in Bulgaria, they postednotices everywhere in Momchilgrad in which they officially invite also the residents of the town.

“It’s a pity that our traditions slowly but surely disappear with the time. And exactly this is in the core of our idea to organize the exhibition “My home place – traditions and values”. We want to show that we all have inherited a great cultural heritage. Such that we must keep and bequeath to the next generations… to leave them something they to be proud of.” – said at the end of our conversation Mutafa Inuzov from Religious School – Momchilgrad. And said this exactly with that special blaze for which I already mentioned in the beginning.
I wished him and the entire students’ team from the school in Momchilgrad success at the event on Saturday. After which …I wished to myself that we have more young people like these among the representatives of the Muslim community in Bulgaria.
