Two-day workshop for the members of RMC – Blagoevgrad and RMC – Pazardzhik

The members of the Regional Muslim Councils of Blagoevgrad and Pazardzhik met for a two-day workshop. It was jointly organized by Regional Mufti’s Office – Blagoevgrad and Regional Mufti’s Office – Pazardzhik. The workshop took place on February 14 and 15, 2018 (Wednesday and Thursday) in “Delta” hotel in Ognyanovo.

Besides the hosts of the event – the Regional Mufti of Blagoevgrad Aydan Mohamed and Abdulah Salih – Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik, official guest were the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council (SMC) Vedat Ahmed and the Regional Mufti of Smolyan Nedzhmi Dabov.

Within the workshop were discussed topics related to the centralization and decentralization – benefit and problems, as well as the role of the local structures for solving problems related to the Muslim Denomination.

Vedat Ahmed presented to the participants the topic “Role of the Supreme Muslim Council in the social life of the ordinary Muslim”. Furthermore he informed the members of the regional Muslim councils of Blagoevgrad and Pazardzhik, who attended the meeting, about the work of the Council during 2017.

The second day of the two-day workshop was dedicated to issues and open discussions related to the work of the regional Muslim councils and their teams.  There were discussed ideas for their effective cooperation in different initiatives, related to the Muslims in the region, and were raised a number of other current issues, related to the work of each of the regional structures and their common ground.
