Muslim women from different parts of Southern Bulgaria gathered at a workshop in Rudozem

 

More than 30 women from the regions of Smolyan, Pazardzhik and Gotse Delchev gathered at a religious workshop at the training base of the central mosque in the mining town of Rudozem. The three-day workshop takes place in the period January 1-3, 2018. It is organized by Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria and is implemented with the active participation of Regional Mufti’s Office – Smolyan.

In the workshop program will participate as lecturers Myumine Sherifova, who is a vaiz (preacher) at Regional Mufti’s Office – Smolyan, as well as Ayshe Meminevska and Mediha Karaibrahimova – graduates of the High Islamic Institute in Sofia. The organizers have also invited several guests-lecturers one of whom is the Regional Mufti of Smolyan Nedzhmi Dabov. He will be guest on the second day of the workshop with the theme “Woman in Islam”.

“In generally the workshop is dedicated to topics related to the status of the woman in the Islamic religion. We will address issues from Fiqh, Aqidah, Hadith and Qur’an” – said for grandmufti.bg Myumine Sherifova. – “For the short time in which we are together, we will try to combine what is useful with what is pleasant. Besides the lectures we have also foreseen various discussions and leisure programs. And on Tuesday evening we are going to visit together the central mosque in the village of Chepintsi” – added Sherifova.

The workshop for women in the town of Rudozem will be closed on Wednesday, January 3, at noon, after which the Muslim women will travel back to their homes from the mining town.
