4-day workshop for teachers in the year-round Qur’an courses in the country was held in Ustina

Within the period December 21-24, 2017 in the training base for imams in the village of Ustina, Plovdiv region, took place a workshop for women who are teachers in the year-round Qur’an courses throughout the country. During the four-day meeting were delivered a number of lectures and discussed many questions related to the different aspects of teaching in the year-round Qur’an courses.
Among the lecturers of the workshop were the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, who presented the topic “Synergy as a form of relationships”, Halil Hodzhov with the topic “Interactive teaching methods”. There also participated lecturers from the High Islamic Institute (HII) and the Religious School in Momchilgrad. Aydan Yumerov from HII delivered a lecture on “Methods of the Prophet (pbuh) and their application nowadays”, and the Director of the religious school in Momchilgrad Ahmed Bozov spoke about “The Qur’an course as a bridge to imam – hatib”. The teachers from the year-round Qur’an courses in the country had the opportunity to listen also other interesting lectures which are directly related to their work.
Within the 4-day workshop there also took place many discussions and among the topics were those about “The year-round Qur’an courses as a privilege”, “Most effective teaching methods”, “The Qur’an course from small to adults” and others.
“Workshops for the teachers in the year-round Qur’an courses such as this are extremely useful, because we, as teachers, have the opportunity to exchange experience with each other and to share our problems and challenges that we face in our work” – shared the women who participated in the workshop in the village of Ustina.
The workshop was closed on December 24, 2017 when everyone traveled back to their settlements.
Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria traditionally organizes workshops for the women who are teachers in the year-round Qur’an courses in the country twice a year.
