Regional Mufti’s Office in Razgrad held a regular meeting with imams

 

On November 23, 2017 in the “Ahmed Bey” mosque in the town of Razgrad was held a regular meeting with the imams from Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad. The meeting began with recitation of the Holy Qur’an by the imam of the village of Dyankovo Eliman Syuleyman.

The Regional Mufti Mehmed Alya presented the topics of the agenda – things on which the imams are expected to make more efforts in a short term.

The first topic which was discussed was about the upcoming national campaign in support of orphans – Orphans’ Week, which will take place from November 27 to December 3 this year. In order to promote the campaign in every mosque there will be delivered sermons and lectures on the topic and on December 1, after theFriday prayer there will be placed special boxes for donation for the orphans. Besides in the mosques donations will be raised also by the people in the settlements, boxes for donations will be available in the local shops, cooperatives will be visited, etc., and the aim is to be raised more funds and respectively to be supported more orphans. With regard to this all imams were given the necessary instructions – informational materials, the printed as promotion materials by Grand Mufti’s Office – brochures and posters. The imam of the mosque in Razgrad Shakir Ahmedchikov delivered a lecture on the topic.

The second point which the Regional Mufti presented was about the year-round Qur’an courses which Grand Mufti’s Office currently carries out in ten settlements in the country. The Mufti highlighted that there is possibility to held year-round Qur’an courses in much more settlements and the imams expressed readiness to work in this direction.

The third main topic which was addressed by the participants in the meeting was the subscription campaign for “Muslims” magazine for year 2018. The imam expressed readiness to bring the campaign out of the mosques in order to promote the magazine and to increase the subscribers. They discussed also the topic for recruitment of candidates to participate in the training course for preparation of imams in the city of Shumen.

Within the meeting was also raised the question about the financial situation of the Denomination as well as about some administrative issues – about the proper administration and archive of the documentation of the Muslim boards of trustees. on this topic the floor was given to Orhan Osman, Secretary at Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad, and to Hasan Hasanov, expert at “Waqf” Department. They shared that currently there are financial audits of the Muslim boards of trustees and so far are audited 43, and 44 will be audited till December 20. It is expected on December 22, 2017 all managements of the Muslim boards of trustees to hold annual reporting meetings.

The November meeting of Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad was closed with dua (supplication) for good and prosperity, made by Ahmed Ahmed, imam of the village of Belentsi.
