Imams from Veliko Tarnovo region held their regular meeting for November

 

Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo held its regular monthly meeting for November with the imams from the region. It took place on November 22 (Wednesday), 2017 in the mosque of the Old Town.

Beside the imams from the settlements in the scope of Regional Mufti’s Office - Veliko Tarnovo, the meeting was also attended by the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.

The Regional Mufti of Veliko Tarnov Syuleyman Masurev welcomed all of his colleagues and presented to them the agenda of the meeting. It included the topic for this year’s implementation of Orphans’ Week, launched by Grand Mufti’s Office. There were discussed the possibilities for holding various charity initiatives and events within the social campaign in Veliko Tarnovo region – charity bazaars, placing money boxes in some shops, etc.

There was also addressed the topic related to the subscription campaign for “Muslims” magazine for year 2018 as well as celebrating the Sacred Birth of the Prophet (pbuh) – Mawlid kandili. The employees from Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo decided to mark Mawlid kandili this year on December 1 in Veliko Tarnovo and a little more large-scaled – in Petko Slaveykovo.

During the working meeting the imams raised the question about the financial situation of the Muslim Denomination, from which all are directly affected, and discussed the topic about the waqf property.

The focus of the November meeting of Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo was on the topic for recruitment of candidate – imams to be trained in the training courses in the country, as well as recruitment of candidate students in the religious schools in Bulgaria.

The official guest of the meeting Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi greeted all participants for the useful meeting and wished success in the future initiatives of the employees from Regional Mufti’s Office – Veliko Tarnovo.
