"Ashura Day - Religious and Social Perspectives"

On 30^th of September, 2017 in the Central mosque of the town of Rudozem was held a program on the occasion of the Ashura Day. the program which was held under the title "Ashura Day - Religious and Social Perspectives" was organized by Grand Mufti's Office together with Regional Mufti's Office - Smolyan and Muslim Board of Trustees of the town of Rudozem. Lectures were delivered by the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Birali and the Regional Mufti of Smolyan Nedzhmi Dabov in which they recalled about two events that happened on the Ashura Day during the time of the prophets of Allah - Nuh (a.s.) and Musa (a.s.). 

Based on the historical events mentioned in the Qur'an the lecturers outlined also the perspectives that lead a person to success, among which faith and trust in Allah, patience and perseverance in inviting to the Islamic religion, gratitude for the guidance from Allah, welcomed with dignity from every person. Also the qualities that lead to a fall among which injustice, arrogance and conceit. Asan Brahimbashev from the village of Chepintsi explained the way and the tradition of preparing the dessert Ashure in the municipality of Rudozem. And the children from "Noor" band recited verses from the Holy Qur'an and performed ilyahi.

The program ended with iftar for all participants prepared by the Muslim Board of Trustees.
