More orphans will be supported by “Social” Department of Grand Mufti’s Office by the end of the year
On 18th of July this year was held another for this year meeting of the Committee on Social Activities at the Supreme Muslim Council. It took place in the Media Center of Grand Mufti’s Office in the capital.
One of the decisions made within the meeting was the number of the supported orphan for the third and the fourth quarters of 2017 to be increased from 225 to 262. As now, all children will receive monthly cash aid of 50.00 leva which they will receive every quarter.
The Committee on Social Activities at the Supreme Muslim Council is functioning already third year. Its activity began in year 2013, when Social Department was opened at Grand Mufti’s Office. The Committee is chaired by the Deputy Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Birali Birali Myumyun, who is in charge of the social affairs. Among the members of the social body are the regional muftis and employees of the Muslim Denomination.
