For 12th consecutive year Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen held traditional circumcision
Completely free of charge traditional sunnet (circumcision) was organized by the Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen this month. It took place on Tuesday, 25th of July, 2017 in the mosque of the city of Shumen “Sherif Halil Pasha” or also known as “Tombul mosque”.
Among the official guests of the event of Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen was Mehmed Alya – Regional Mufti of the city of Razgrad. There were also guests from abroad, from the Republic of Turkey, citizens from Shumen and residents of the surrounding settlements.
The event, which has already became a tradition for Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen, is organized for twelfth consecutive year. During the sunnet this year were circumcised free of charge 197 children in total from Shumen region. The circumcision was done by the long-time professional in this field – Dr. Lyutvi Mehmed from Aytos.
