Nisab and Fitrah for year 2017
The Fatwa Committee at the Supreme Muslim Council at its session on 3rd of May, 2017 in Sofia on the question “What is the amount of the nisab for zakat and for fitrah for the month of Ramadan of year 2017?” issues the following opinions:
- The amount of the nisab for the month of Ramadan of year 2017 is 5185 (five thousand one hundred and eighty-five) leva.
- The fitrah (zakat al-fitr) for the calendar year 2017 remains 5 (five) leva.
