“Aziziye” mosque in Varna was desecrated – the identity of the perpetrator was revealed

On 30th of January, 2017 when going out of the “Aziziye” mosque after performing the noon prayer, local Muslims noticed inscription on the fence wall of the temple. The inscription includes anti-Muslim and racist phrases and symbols. The police was informed for the case who in turn responded immediately and in the framework of two days revealed the identity of the perpetrator. It turned out that the act of vandalism is done by a citizen from the city of Varna, who was under clinical examination and recognized to be with psychological defects. After the opened inquest the case is submitted to the Prosecutor’s office.
