Imams from Pazardzhik region gathered for a working meeting

A working meeting with the imams from Regional Mufti’s Office – Pazardzhik was held on 27^th of November, 2016 from 10:00 o’clock in the mosque of the town of Velingrad.

Official guest of the meeting was the Deputy Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Ahmed Hasanov, accompanied by the Head of “Irshad” Department Halil Hodzhov.

The meeting began with recitation of Qur’an-i Kerim by the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov. After thanking for the wonderful recitation, the Regional Mufti Abdullah Salih informed the participants about the agenda of the meeting.

First there was made a comprehensive analysis of the held sessions of the Supreme Muslim Council and of the Council of Muftis. After that the Regional Mufti shared the results from the carried out summer Qur’an courses and from the participation of the students in the courses in the Regional competition. Reported were also the results from the campaigns which are carried out by the Denomination and the money collected within them. The participants in the meeting discussed the topic related to the active participation of everyone in “Orphans’ week”, organized by Grand Mufti’s office under the title “Have you ever thought about an orphan?”

One of the topics on the agenda of the meeting, held in Velingrad, was related to recruitment of subscribers for “Muslims” magazine.

After that the floor was given to the Head of “Irshad” Department Halil Hodzhov. In his speech the Deputy Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Ahmed Hasanov focused on the responsibility of the imams in the present circumstances and challenges which the Muslim community faces. The Regional Mufti thanked all for their efforts and for taking the time to participate in another one meeting of the mufti’s office.
