85 years old Muslim woman from Cherna Mesta marked her first hatim (entire reading) of the Qur’an with a celebration

With a special program prepared by the residents of Cherna Mesta and the imam Osman Bakar was made hatim dua for Shahsiye Radzheva. The woman learnt to read the Qur’an at the age of 85 and made hatim.

Guests of the special program were Aydan Mohammed – Regional Mufti of Blagoevgrad region, and Ali Hodzha – Deputy Regional Mufti of the region.

The Regional Mufti Aydan Mohammed stressed on his speech that “Today one of our sisters once again showed us that there is no age and limits for the knowledge. Let she be an example for the new generation…”

Ali Hodzha in his turn expressed the importance of the Qur’an, his reading and following its commandments from the Muslims.

At the end of the program the representatives of the Muslim Denomination greeted aunt Shahsiye for the achieved success, gave her modest gifts and wished her a life with many and fruitful years.

Shahsiye Radzheva received different gifts also from the residents of the village who took this hatim as a celebration of the village.
