Social Affairs Attaché at the embassy of Turkey greeted the Grand Mufti
The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi received the Social affairs attaché from the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia Dr. Ulvi Ata. The meeting was protocol on the occasion of the re-election of the Grand Mufti on the position.
Dr. Ata gave a high assessment of the activities of the Grand Mufti’s Office and emphasized on its role of a dignified guardian of the peace and the prosperity in the country. Ata said that he hopes that during the new mandate of the management of the Muslim Denomination it will achieve high results in its service to the Muslim community in Bulgaria.
The Grand Mufti thanked for the kind visit of the diplomat and assured him that the main task of the institution is to lead the Muslims onward and upward by respecting their rights.
Dr. Ata gave his host a painting depicting calligraphic interpretation of the first letter of the Arabic alphabet “alif” which is a kind of s symbol of the unity, combined with the art of “tazhib”. Tazhib in Arabic means gilding. Basically tazhib are called the ornaments made of gold and different colors on paper, usually without figures. Besides tazhib is used most of all in books with handwritten texts, it is applied also in single notes for decorating the edges of the sheets.
Both of them united on the idea that the bilateral partnership on different projects is the direction in which should be worked more actively.
