Grand Mufti met with the Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria

The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi met with the Head of the European Commission Representation Ognyan Zlatev. The visit is a part of the regular meetings of the religious leader with representatives of the secular authorities.
“The European perspective of our country is a fact which should be used from our fellow citizens more effectively. The dismantling of boundaries opened the doors for the West but we still have something to borrow from the European democratic model”, said the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi during his visit in the European Commission Representation in our country.
According to him the wide opportunities which our membership in the EU offers us should be transformed into a contribution for Bulgaria. The economic migration should be in both directions otherwise the shortage of expert personnel in our country will increase.
“We have always been ready to interact in this direction with the Bulgarian institutions and to inspire productive relations with institutions at European level”, said the Head of the European Commission Representation Ognyan Zlatev. According to him the capacity of the European institutions is much more than we use.
The Grand Mufti represented the activities of Grand Mufti’s Office also the priorities of the religious administration of the Muslims in Bulgaria.
