First official success of the hafiz-candidates from Religious School – Momchilgrad 

With the beginning of the school year 2019-2020 for a first time in Religious School – Momchilgrad officially started a Training course for memorization of the texts of the Holy Qur’an for students. 30 students form the school are currently participating in it so far. Nine of them – girls and boys already officially achieved their first success in this initiative – they successfully memorized Juz “Amma” from the Holy Book.

On this occasion the students were honored and officially awarded for the achieved result in their hafiz training personally by the spiritual leader of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi. During the festive program on February 13, on Thursday evening, they demonstrated their knowledge where they were examined by hafiz Shefket Hadzhi – teacher in the Training course for imams “Hafiz Murad Hadzhi” in the town of Madan.

Among the official guests of the event were also the Head of the Department on Education at Grand Mufti’s Office Amir Feleti, the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed and the deputy muftis Erhan Redzhep and Nasuf Nasuf.

Traditionally every Thursday the students from Religious School – Momchilgrad have the opportunity to listen to religious lectures of various guest-speakers. This time the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi delivered to the audience a lecture on the importance of motivation, the significance of the religious knowledge and the role of the religious schools in this field, and he also addressed the topics about the Islamic moral (akhlaq) and other important topics.

The program ended with a dua (supplication) from the students in the religious school hatim in the memory of the two students Fatma Yumer Amza and Milyatka Izmirova Kupenova, who died in an unfortunate accident in the waters of Varbitsa River in 2018/2019 school year. May Allah grant them the Jannah (Paradise)!.
