Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Volkan Bozkır visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv

The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Volkan Bozkır and accompanying him delegates visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv on November 29 (Friday), 2019. They were welcomed in the city under the hills by the Regional Mufti of Plovdiv Taner Veli with whom they held a brief meeting. It was also attended by the Chairman of the local Muslim Board of Trustees Ahmed Pehlivan. After the held meeting the guests from the Republic of Turkey got acquainted with the mosque “Murad Hyudavendigyar” and they had the opportunity to see also the old part of the city.

Before their visit in Plovdiv the Turkish parliamentary delegation was in Sofia where at the invitation of Dzhema Grozdanova – Chairperson of the Bulgarian parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee participated in the first plenary tripartite meeting of the committees on foreign policy of Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey. During their stay in the capital the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Volkan Bozkır and accompanying him delegates visited also Grand Mufti’s Office where they held a meeting with Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.
