Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyyun was a guest-speaker in the village of Startsevo
By the initiative of the mufti’s representation in the town of Zlatograd a lecture on “The Muslim Nowadays” was delivered in the village of Startsevo, Smolyan region, on November 15 (Friday), 2019. Guest-speaker at the event, which took place in the community center of the village, was the Deputy Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Birali Myumyun.
The event was opened by the host and deputy regional Mufti of Zlatograd hafiz Bayram Ushev. In his welcoming address to all guests he highlighted that such events do not take place very often in the village of Startsevo. Ushev made a commitment that with the assistance of the Muslim Denomination in the village in nearest time will be organized another similar meeting, because the Muslims obviously show the relevant interest.
In his lecture the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun outlined the most often problems in the daily life of the Muslim and offered ways to solve them.
“The lack of identity is the main problem which leads behind itself a number of negative consequences for the individual, among which are the low self-esteem and the inferiority complexes. The shortest way to solving the personal problems for the Muslim is self-awareness and returning to his nature and identity. This would lead also to the return of the impaired self-esteem and dignity, realizing his place in the society as a full citizen.” – explained the speaker.
Among the official guests of the event were the Regional Mufti of Smolyan Nedzhmi Dabov, accompanied by the expert at “Irshad” Department at the mufti’s office in Smolyan Hayri Sherifov, as well as imams from the Municipality of Zlatograd. The event was also attended by the Mayor of the village of Startsevo and municipal councilors from the Municipality of Zlatograd.
