Hundreds of guests attended the festive celebration on Mawlid Kandili in Aytos

More than 300 men and women attended the festive evening program on the occasion of Mawlid Kandili in Aytos on November 8 (Friday) this year. It took place in the mosque of the town and was jointly organized by Regional Mufti’s Office – Aytos and Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria.

Among the official guests of the celebration on the occasion of the Sacred birth of the Prophet (pbuh) were the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bulgaria as well as representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Burgas. It was also attended by guests from the Presidency on the Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey “Diyanet”. There were also regional muftis and guests from the entire country.

The festive program in Aytos included welcoming address in behalf of the host Selyqtin Muharem, recitation of Qur’an-i Kerim and Mawlid, religious lectures, and performances of ilyahi (religious songs). The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi and Erdal Atalay – official guests from the “Diyanet” in the Republic of Turkey, delivered lectures, dedicated to the Sacred birth of the Prophet (pbuh), to the hundreds of guests. The festive program was officially closed with dua (supplication).

“With the held festive celebration on Friday evening in the town of Aytos we officially launched the Week of the Sacred Birth of Muhammad (pbuh) in the region.
