Students from Bulgaria performed worthy at the International Qur’an Recitation Competition in in Kosovo

Four students from Religious School – Momchilgrad and their two classmates from Religious School – “Nyuvvab” returned home after worthy performance at an International Qur’an Recitation Competition, which took place within the period of November 1 – 3 this year in Pristina. Though they did not rank among the finalists in the top three, each of the youths from Bulgaria did his best to perform worthy in his competitive category.

In the competition, which is held under the auspices of the Grand Mufti of Kosovo and organized by the Religious School “Alauddin” in Pristina, competed students from secondary religious schools in eight Balkan countries in total. The participants from Bulgaria, Kosovo, Albania, Turkey, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia and Sanjak were divided into boys and girls and competed in 4 categories. Three of them were for recitation by heart – of juz “Amma”, of three ajza (parts) from the Holy Qur’an and of five ajza from the Holy Qur’an. The forth category was for artistic recitation of the Qur’an.
