A benefactor donated Islamic literature for villages in Kardzhali region 

Few days ago a Muslim donated Islamic literature through Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali. The donation included 20 copies of the tafsir (explanation) of the Holy Qur’an, translation of the Holy Qur’an, editions of “Muslims” magazine, as well as other publications of the Muslim Denomination.

“The donor wished that the donated Islamic literature to be disseminated in the villages in the region of Kardzhali.” – shared for Grandmufti.bg the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed. He also shared that on this occasion the Regional Mufti’s Office held a meeting with the representatives of all 20 Muslim boards of trustees in the region.

With them was also discussed the idea for establishing library corners in the local mosques, where the Muslims, and especially the youth, will have free access to Islamic literature, which would help for their spiritual and intellectual development.

The donation of the Islamic literature was made on the occasion of the held at the end of the last month initiative “Week of Imams and mosques”. The initiative passed very successfully in the region of Kadzhali as well. All central mosques at the mufti’s office in Kardzhali participated very actively in it, and in addition to the other events the Friday khutbah (sermon) was also dedicated to the topic on the importance of the mosque in the Islamic civilization and the role of the imam who has to be a role model and to strive towards good education and upbringing of the adolescents.
