Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen held a meeting with the imams from the region

A working meeting took place on October 10 (Thursday), 2019 at Regional Mufti’s office – Shumen with the imams from the region. The meeting took place at the meeting hall of the mufti’s office. All imams from the region took part in it.

The Regional Mufti of Shumen informed the participants about the agenda of the meeting. The first topic on the agenda was the upcoming “Week of Imams and Mosques”. In connection with this initiative the Regional Mufti delivered a lecture along with a presentation on the topic “Qualities of the ideal imam”. The imams from the region were also informed about the plan-program for the upcoming “Week of Imams and Mosques”.

Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen decided to announce October 26, 2019 as an “Open day” on which day the mosques will be open for visiting by everyone from 9:00 till 18:00 o’clock. In connection with the upcoming week Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen also announced that a competition for delivering sermon (khutbah) will take place, in which the imams from Shumen District who want can participate.

During the meeting the Regional Mufti Mesut Mehmedov informed the participants about the training in “Tashih-i Huruf”, organized by Grand Mufti’s Office, which will take place in the village of Ustina, Plovdiv region.

At the end of the meeting letters of appreciation were given on behalf of the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi to the imams and the Muslim boards of trustees for their participation and support in the implementation of this year’s initiative “Week of Islamic Education”.
