Council of Muftis with a detailed analysis of the Campaign in Support of the Islamic Education 2019

A regular meeting of the Council of Muftis was held on September 19 (Thursday), 2019. One of the focuses of the working meeting was the held this year Campaign in Support of the Islamic Education. The representatives of the Department of Education at Grand Mufti’s Office presented a detailed report with estimates and analysis of this year’s edition of the campaign. It was shown that the raised amount during 2019 is 419 927.42 BGN. Compared to 2018, there is an increase of 96 511.90 BGN.

Within the held Council of Muftis, the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi and his deputy Birali Birali personally presented plaques of gratitude to the most active in the initiative regional mufti’s offices from the country.

“These high results motivate us that the Muslim society in Bulgaria recognizes the importance of donation and every year it is getting even more active, because donation and empathy are an important factor for the Muslim education. We ask Allah to reward everyone who participated in this charity campaign.” – said for Grandmufti.bg from the Department of Education.

The Campaign in Support of the Islamic Education takes place already traditionally every year. Its first edition was 13 years ago. All raised funds from the initiative are used for the various needs in the field of the Islamic education in Bulgaria. Among them are increasing the quality of the religious education of the children both in the Qur’an courses at the regional mufti’s offices, and in the state’s schools, as well as expansion and development of the activities in the Qur’an courses in our country, granting scholarships for pupils and students. The funds are also spent for financing the activities of the religious schools in Bulgaria, for organization of training courses and workshops for the teachers and the students from these religious educational institutions, as well as for publishing activity and many others.
