For fourth consecutive year Sofia will host the “Festival of Religions”
For fourth consecutive year Sofia will host the “Festival of religions” which this year will be held under the motto “We live together in understanding, respect and cooperation.” The inter-faith event is organized at the initiative of Sofia Municipality, Sofia Holy Metropolitinate and the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria (NCRCB). The Festival of Religions will take place on September 19 (Thursday) 2019 from 5:00 pm at the area under the Largo dome of Sofia.
The cultural program will include a festive concert dedicated to understanding, respect and cooperation among the six Abrahamic religious communities. Performers and choir formations from different religious communities will take part in it. Among them are children’s dance troupe “Tsarski Detsa”, the talented young pianist Marina Mravova – winner of many international piano competitions, the exceptional young student of Prof. Mario Hosen – the violinist Yasen Stamatov, as well as the brilliant talent – the young folk singer Antonio Simeonov. In the festival will also participate representatives of Folklore ensemble “Graovo”, the dancers from dance formation “Asti Dance”, as well as children’s choir “Nadezhda” from the town of Rudozem. The message for peace and tolerance will be supported also by other famous Bulgarian performers. The program also will provide an opportunity for organized visit to the temples, located in the so called “quadrangle of tolerance” in Sofia for anyone who wants.
The Festival of Religions which is a part of the Cultural Calendar of Sofia Municipality, and is free to all visitors.
