The retraining course for pedagogues from the Muslim community within the joint project of different institutions successfully completed

On September 2 (Monday) 2019 took place the state exam for all 15 pedagogues from the Muslim community who attended a two-month postgraduate retraining course. They successfully passed the exam with which the retraining course officially ended. It began in June this year within a joint educational project between the Ministry of Education and Science (MES), Grand Mufti’s Office, the High Islamic Institute (HII) and the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (UniBit).

The state exam of the participants in the course consisted of writing on two questions – one from the theological disciplines and one from the non-religious disciplines. So the 15 pedagogues who successfully completed their postgraduate retrainingalready have the right to teach the voluntary subject “Islamic religion” in the state schools in the country.

The postgraduate retraining was led by lecturers from the High Islamic Institute and UniBit, including Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, Dr. Sefer Hasanov, Dr. Arif Abdullah, Dr. Emine Bayraktarova and Dr. Kadir Muhammed. On behalf of UniBit lecturers were Prof. Zhorzheta Nazarska, Dr. Svetla Shapkarova, Dr. Marsel Izrael, Prof. Maria Schnitter and Dr. Zhasmina Donkova.
