The children from the summer Qur’an courses in Targovishte region testedtheir knowledge in Islam at a regional competition

The Regional Competition in Basic Knowledge in Islam was held on August 27, 2019 in the mosque of the town of Targovishte. It was organized by the local Regional Mufti’s Office and 70 children in total from the summer Qur’an courses in the region of Targovishte took part in it.

Official guests and jury in the competition for knowledge were Dr. Osman Ibrahimov – teacher at Religious School “Nyuvvab” in Shumen, Tundzhay Sherif – Director of Religious School “Mirza Seid Pasha” in Ruse and Alper Ahmedov – a teacher in the religious school in Ruse.

The program was opened with recitation of Qur’an-i Kerim by the imam of the village of Momino Basri Basri. The Regional Mufti of Targovishte Nazif Rasimov welcomed as a host of the event the guests and the participants.

“We rely on the youth because you are the future of the Muslim community in Bulgaria” – said the host.

When the competition was over, the names of the winners of the first three places were announced.

At first place was ranked Nalyan Ilhanova Ibryamova from the village of Ruets, at second – Sevil Nihatova Sedatova from the village of Bayachevo, and the third place in the knowledge competition was for Mehmed Aliev Tahirov from the village of Kralevo.

Teacher of the winners in the competition is Ayhan Abtulov, imam of the village of Ruets.

The three finalist as well as all participants in the competition received gifts.

The program of the competition in Targovishte was closed with a dua (supplication) made by the regional Mufti Nazif Rasimov.
