Muslims from a village in Varna region celebrated together Eid al-Adha

Regional Mufti’s Office – Varna organized a festive lunch for nearly 300 Muslims from the village of Medovets, Varna region, on the occasion of the holiday of Eid al-Adha. The event took place on the second day of Eid al-Adha and was implemented with the support of the Grand Mufti’s Office of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The celebration was attended by the Mayor of the village Mustafa Ismail, the Regional Mufti of Varna Nuray Shukri, the guest-imam at the mufti’s office in Varna from the Republic of Turkey Salih Kaplan, as well as by Dzhelil Dzhelil – teacher in Religious School “Nyuvvab” in the city of Shumen.

The program of the festive gathering included a welcoming address to all guests by the Regional Mufti of Varna Nuray Shukri. Then Qur’an was recited, and children from the local Qur’an course performed several religious songs (ilyahi).
