The management of RS – Momchilgrad organized hatim dua in the memory of Fatma Amza and Milyatka Kupenova

Days after the unfortunate death of the two girls, students from Religious School – Momchilgrad, who drowned in the waters of Varbitsa River, the management organized general hatim where anyone who wanted could participate.

On June 17 (Thursday) after the evening prayer in the mosque of Momchilgrad was organized hatim dua. Official guests of the event were the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, the Regional Muftiof Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed, the Regional Mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi, as well as the deputy muftis at the mufti’s office in Kardzhali.

“As a school management we decided to make hatim for our schoolgirls and sisters. I am grateful beyond expression to the people who supported us in this initiative.” – said in his address to all guests on Thursday evening the Director of RS – Momchilgrad Ahmed Bozov. He made dua to Allah to embrace with His mercy the deceased and to grant them the Jannah. In connection with the tragic incident with the two schoolgirls Bozov added: “We are Muslims and we believe in the fate of Allah. Life is haqq (truth) and death is haqq. What we can do for our deceased sister from now on is only and solely dua (supplication)”.

The organized program with hatim dua included reading of parts of the Holy Qur’an by the official guests and brief religious reminders, related to the tragic incident that happened a week ago. Both Beyhan Mehmed and Ahmed Hasanov reminded in their speeches the narrations of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) saying that one of the groups of people who die as martyrs is exactly the group of the drowned ones. So they prayed that Fatma and Miletka as martyrs to stand up for their parents, relatives and classmates and everyone who they have loved in their short earthly life.
