The newly-constructed mosque was opened in the village of Sredkovets

The newly constructed mosque in the village of Sredkovets, Shumen region was opened on May 12, 2019 (Sunday). The Muslim temple was built with the joint efforts of the residents of the village with the financial support of donors, the  assistance of Municipality of Kaolinovo and the support of Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen, as well as of Grand Mufti’s Office.

At the place of the newly constructed mosque there was an old one the walls of which were cracked for which it was torn down and within one year on its place was constructed the new Muslim temple, reported from Regional Mufti’s Office –Shumen.

The ceremony on the opening of the newly constructed mosque was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed, the Grand mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Regional Mufti of the city of Shumen Mesut Mehmedov, the regional muftis of Aytos, Targovishte, Razgrad and Silistra.

There also participated the Mayor of the Municipality of Kaolinovo Nida Ahmed, MPs, clerics and residents of the neighboring villages.

After the opening of the mosque the local Muslims had prepared a Ramadan iftar-dinner for all attending guests.
