Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali held an April working meeting with imams from the region

The Imams from Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali met at a working meeting in the central mosque of the regional city before the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. It took place on April 22 (Monday) this year from 10:00 o’clock.

The meeting was organized by Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali under the leadership of the Regional Mufti Beyhan Mehmed. Official guest of the meeting was the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi.

The event was opened with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an.  The meeting was attended by the deputy muftis of Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali, the Director of RS – Momchilgrad Ahmed Bozov, the guest-imams from the Republic of Turkey and others.

During the meeting were addressed topics, related to the activities of the imams during the month of Ramadan, the campaign to support the Islamic education, the social activities of the denomination during the month of Ramadan and the specific duties of the imams during this period, as well as some other issues.

In his speech the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi emphasized on the specifics of the recently so famous Law on the Religious Denominations, on the responsibilities and the opportunities of the clerics. The Director of the religious school in the town of Momchilgrad informed the participants about the situation in the educational institution and called upon the imams to promote among parents and children the education and the opportunities offered by Religious School – Momchilgrad.

The meeting ended with a dua (supplication) for health, blessing, peace and welfare.
