Regional Muslim Council – Razgrad held its first meeting for the year

The first for the year meeting of Regional Muslim Council – Razgrad was held on April 18 (Thursday), this year, from 10:00 o’clock. It took place at the new premises of the Regional Mufti’s Office in the town.

The Chairman of Regional Muslim council – Razgrad and a Regional Mufti of the town Mehmed Alya welcomed the participants in the meeting and informed them about the agenda. It included a discussion on the preparation for the month of Ramadan and the participation in the campaign to support the Islamic education in Bulgaria.

The imams also discussed the preparation for carrying out this year’s summer Qur’an courses and the various organizational issues related to this. There was also addressed the recruitment of candidate students for the Religious School “Mirza Said Pasha” in the city of Ruse.

Within the meeting was presented a report on the held at the end of the past year, 2018, National Campaign “Orphans’ Week”. The imams discussed also the preparation for the Hajj 2019 campaign and the program for carrying out a mass circumcision (sunnet) which is scheduled for the present year.

The participants in the meeting also addressed the Ordinance for the Religious Rites and Rituals.

During the upcoming week Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad will hold working meetings with the imams, the chairmen of the Muslim boards of trustees, we well as the preaching women from the region.

The meeting was closed with dua (supplication) and with best wished for фfruitful and full of grace month of Ramadan 2019.
