Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana held an April meeting with imams
On April 17 (Wednesday), 2019 the Regional Mufti of Montana Nedzhati Ali convened a regular monthly meeting with the imams from the region. It took place at the “Osman Pazvatoglu” mosque in the town of Vidin from 10:00 o’clock.
The meeting was opened with recitation of a part of the Holy Qur’an after which the Regional Mufti informed the participants about the agenda of the meeting.
“An analysis of the work of the imams during the past month was done and each of them presented his monthly report for March. The issues about the recruitment of candidates for the three religious schools in the country was addressed and discussed, as well as about recruitment of candidates for the High Islamic Institute in Sofia for the academic year 2019/2020” – shared for Grandmufti.bg the secretary of the Regional Mufti’s Office – Montana.
According to the information of the Regional Mufti’s Office the participants discussed also the weekly religious talks which take place at the different settlements in the region, presenting also relevant photo materials.
“One of the focuses of the meeting was the preparation for the month of Ramadan and performing the Tarawih prayer, as well as the organization of Ramadan iftar dinners for the local Muslim population. In connection with this indirect, by a phone call the meeting also joined the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi. He greeted the imams and noted that with the beginning of the month of Ramadan they have to be more active and “closer” to people, performing their official and religious duties and earning more rewards in this blessed period of the year.” – the Secretary of the mufti’s office in Montana further shared.
The agenda of the meeting was completed with the discussion of the already launched social campaign of Grand Mufti’s Office, which takes place under the slogan “Be hope for the needy”.
