The book “Dzhumaya mosque and Imaret mosque in Plovdiv” was officially presented in the capital

“Publishing” Department at Grand Mufti’s Office presented the book of Prof. Lyubomir Mikov “Dzhumaya mosque and Imaret mosque in Plovdiv” on April 8, 2019 in Sofia. The premiere took place at the headquarters of the Association for Cultural Interaction.

The book was presented by the reviewers Kemal Rashid – Doctoral student in History, and Sunay Mazgaldzhiev, Master of History from SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Moderator of the event was Nedzhet Ridvan, student at the High Islamic Institute (HII).

The premiere in the capital was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat S. Ahmed, as well as a number of representatives of the Muslim intelligentsia in Sofia.

The book of Prof. Mikov is published in Bulgarian and English language. The edition describes in details the architectural specifics of Dzhumaya mosque, Imaret mosque and Tashkyopryu (Orta Mezar) mosque in the city of Plovdiv.
