NCRCB and the Commission for Protection against Discrimination signed officially an agreement for cooperation

A meeting of the Chairman of the National Council of the Religious Communities in Bulgaria (NCRCB) Birali Myumyun Birali and the Chairperson of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination (CPD) Ana Dzhumalieva took place on March 12 (Tuesday) this year. It took place at the headquarters of CPD and was also attended by Baki Hyuseinov – Deputy Chairperson of CPD and the representatives Zlatina Dukova, Sabrie Sapundzhieva, Orlin Kolev and Petar Kichashki. The Chairman of the NCRCB Birali Birali also was accompanied by his colleagues Rupen Krikorian, Robert Djerassi and Petko Valov.

The occasion of the meeting was the official signing of a cooperation agreement between NCRCB and CPD. It was signed by the chairpersons Birali and Dzhumalieva and the aim is to achieve cooperation between the two parties for enhancing the understanding and mutual respect to people of different religious beliefs in our country.

It is expected that NCRCB and CPD will work together by implementing various information and educational programs in order to achieve tolerance and to establish better living conditions in the multicultural and multi-religious environment in our country.

The mutual desire for development of the cooperation between the Council and the Commission is expressed in a methodical and expert support; maintenance and promotion of official and unofficial partnerships; preparation, implementation and promotion of various initiatives and information campaigns; joint participation in events, projects, trainings, workshops and other initiatives, related to the implementation of the equal opportunities policies for the representatives of the different religious communities in Bulgaria and preventing manifestations of discrimination.
