Dr. Arif Abdullah took part in a two-day EU working meeting in Brussels

 

 

On February 21 and 22, this year in Brussels took place an Expert Advisory Council organized by the European Union (EU). The two-day working meeting was attended by researchers form the Netherlands, Finland, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Ethiopia, Denmark and Bulgaria. The aim of the program was to guarantee safety and protection against any form of extremism and to preserve religion from being used for hatred, aggression and killing.

Our country was presented at the Expert Advisory Council by Dr. Arif Abdullah – lecturer at the High Islamic Institute (HII) and Chairman of the Research Center at HII.

“The aim of the two-day working meeting was to create a platform at the EU which to be used for intellectual exchanges in the framework of the peaceful co-existence, as well as to help the participants in the program to develop skills through which to contribute to a peaceful and normal life in the societies.” – said for Grandmufti.bg Dr. Arfi Abdullah. – “The participants discussed three main topics of a significant role for the human peace and tranquility – social inequality, discrimination and incitement of hatred, as well as practices of reconciliation.” – he also added.
